Located along the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road, Cilantro Taqa represents a smart evolution of the roadside coffee stop. Originally a compact takeaway outlet within a gas station, the branch was expanded into a welcoming rest point for travelers—a place to pause, recharge, and enjoy a moment of calm before continuing their journey.
The design challenge was to transform a small, utilitarian footprint into a warm, highly functional environment, while operating within the constraints of an active, fully operational site. Every square meter was carefully optimized to enhance seating capacity, circulation, and comfort without compromising flow or aesthetic clarity.
The result is an efficient yet inviting space that elevates the everyday roadside stop into a considered, comfortable experience designed for rest, ease, and continuity of travel.
