Located in the Al-Qasr Metropole, a boutique hotel with commanding views of Amman, the concept chosen for this nightclub/bar/restaurant was ‘reversal’. The idea was to create an unexpected experience for guests by bringing the outside in, and using what is normally inside, outdoors. The space was divided into two intersecting volumes; the outdoor /vertical axis and the indoor/horizontal axis.

Designed to resemble an outdoor deck, the restaurant features a long mosaic stone bar, pergola-type ceiling treatments, teak wood flooring and paving stone wall cladding. The bathroom design playfully interprets wooden outhouses, and a large outdoor copper fireplace provides a focal point for the lounge area.
